So my previous roommate has since gone and another one has been put in my room. This new girl is SO mean and she is constantly smoking a cigarette. I have no idea how to tell her not to smoke in the room because she takes every little thing so seriously. She gets angry quickly, even if you try to be nice to her. Advice please?

Go to your administrator and have her removed? I'm only 14 so I only deal with my sister.

Talk to your admins. Or one of the office ladies. If you're pregnant, then she should take that into consideration and smoke somewhere else. Don't confront her, just go straight to the Admins and ask if you can be changed of if they could have a word with her. Sorry that this is happening. Here if you need me. xox

is it allowed to smoke inside the room?? here it isn't.. and you have the right not to want that she smokes there... i mean, she's violating your freedom by doing that... if i were you, i'f for sure talk to someone responsible

I'm sure smoking is not allowed in dorms, you should ask her nicely to stop because its not allowed and show her proof, im sure it is written somewhere (on a sign/contract etc.), if she persists anyway talk to the admin staff who can deal with it.

just say to her 'do you mind maybe not smoking, i'm not comfortable with it'

if she takes it badly, just say to her, 'i don't want to fight, i just don't really like it'

also, there is probably a ban on smoking inside anyway, if there is, just tell her. but be nice about it. then if she refuses more than twice, give her a warning and then go to your admin about it. you won't have been anything but fair.

Thankies everyone! I talked to the girl and she agreed that she wouldn't smoke around me. She actually isn't even that mean. Me and her come from similar backgrounds and she's a really sweet person to talk to
