Basically, i want to be their friend because they're pretty and popular. And i want to be popular and pretty so, being friends with them will atleast increase the chance of the popularity bit. And they're all so funny and i want to be funny! i want to be liek them! I want people to look at me, like they look at them and go "wow" I have friends, yes, but they don't get boys attention, well they do, but not hot boys. Call me shallow, but i want to be in the popular clique and all i was asking was how to become popular. Thank you.

Get ready for being fake, lying to your friends and not trusting anyone
Get ready to be judged on how your hair and makeup is everyday
Get ready to be judged on what clothes you wear (yes more than usual)
Get ready for peope to hate you just because youre in that clique
Get ready for people to be upp your asss just because your in that clique
and basically get ready for people to judge your every move, as everyone expects you to be perfect.

Sorry but I do understand what you are getting at and yes I do think it somewhat shallow. You do not automatically become funny by getting a spray tan and putting on make up! Maybe your friends don't get the hot boys attention. Maybe the get the attention of the boys whose attention is worth something? If you want people to look at you, don't tart yourself up! Ffs! do something worthy of their attention like talk to more people and spread your wings, become friends with more people and get to know everyone. And when I say this, I mean in conventional way of getting friends.

Also, I know someone who did this. He actually lost all of his friends, and no-one in his new 'group' liked him, and they bitched constantly behind his back. He has since lost them as well and for a while had no-one. It is only recently that he has found new friends.

My advice to you? If you are not happy with your current friendships, reach out a bit, but don't try to dump your friends for new people because they don't garner the right sort of attention. There was a reason why you became friends and don't lose that in your desperation for popularity.

Sorry if this is too harsh, but please just think about what your actual friends will think of you. If you do this, don't complain later about them hating you.

Hmm, I wouldn't shoot for top popular group, but like... second row.

If you want to change your character (become funnier, more talkative, whatever) this is possible. Say you want to be more talkative. Just start random conversations. At first it will seem odd and little fake, but you'll get used to it and it'll become normal.

Btw, how pretty are you? Or to be more exact: How pretty do other people think you are?

edit: oh yeah, chances are those people aren't that funny. They just have a higher social status which makes them seem funnier. If you hate somebody they can tell you the funniest joke and you won't smile a bit. However if you like somebody even the dumbest joke will make you smile.

You say you just want to know how to be popular? You say you want to get all the hot boys? Fine. I'll leave experience to teach you all that. So i'm just going to tell what you asked me to say..
To be popular, first, you need some serious money.. And the fashion know how to buy exactly the right clothes and shoes and watches and bracelets, you need to find exactly the right hairstyle and you need to study really hard( Because then those girls can cheat off you)
Then you need to be demanding, bitchy, and mean..

Finally, you need to get upset over stupid things like you can't have a manicure in the morning of monday, or something like you can't fit your small poodle in your Channel bag.. or something,


But the hardest part of this would be you have to look in the mirror and actually lie to yourself and live with yourself..

Being Popular isn't everything, it seems all glamorous, but it's not, you need to realise that for yourself I guess..
