I just deal with it, I guess. I try to stay happy and calm, and my boyfriend plays a big part in that role. I'm not on any medications anymore because I lost insurance and I can't afford them by just straight paying.

I threatened to kill myself in my sophomore year of high school. My guidance counselor found out and sent me home, and I had to be "ok'd" by a psychiatrist to go back to school. I was out for like 3 or 4 days before I got to go back.

hmmmmmmmm intresting amber but don't u have episode's of going completely manic and then completely depressed??? and it's like the disorder is controlling you?? well glad to hear that you have someone close to you who helps you! how old are u?

wow thats intense oli hope your ok now? im 16 maybe it was an adreniline rush, so this increase of your sex drive, did it make you do anything?? or talk about anything or have visions of stuff? wait you aren't taking any drugs? maybe extacy? or drinking or smoking or any of that? just wondering because that could be part of the reason your sex drive was high

Yes, I do have episodes like that. The manic explains the breakdowns that I talked about, and the depressed explains the not wanting to get out of bed.
It's not really controlling me too much, I still have my own mind and can think for myself, but it definitely does suck and does take over about 75% of my life.

Not to be rude here, but it's like you think people with bipolar disorder are some weird Aliens that should be locked up, or quarantined, or observed or something.

no no you seeing it the wrong way no 1 i have bipolar type 2 and no 2 i never ment it in a rude way i ment it like when you are manic r dep do you do things or say things which you wouldn't normally do e.g. shopping spree/gambiling etc... sorry i never ment it to sound so harsh

You didn't sound harsh, I was just a little annoyed because you kept asking the same questions over and over. You asked me like three times if I did anything out of the ordinary when I clearly explained my breakdowns to you, and that I didn't want to get out of bed, and that I was going to commit suicide in 10th grade but I was hospitalized first. I thought that was enough information for you.
