Well, you're already on the right path to preventing it - possibly without realising! You're conscious of your parents' undesirable habits.
The fact that you've noticed them and find them annoying means that you probably won't replicate them so much; it would be illogical for you to adopt a habit that you dislike, despite how often you're exposed to it.

Just because you live with somebody, and in this case share a portion of their genetics, doesn't mean that you're condemned to resemble them! Remember that you're an individual with choices: if you don't like tutting and moaning, don't do it. There's nothing that says you have to because you've been brought up around it.

I think Bambi is spot on with this one. Because you are aware of these habits you don't want to have, you're able to make yourself not do them. You see them as undesirable and I think that will give you the motivation not to pick them up. You are your own person, you don't have to be an exact copy of your parents.
