Yeah, I kinda get that, except I'm the "bit of chewing" gun and they usually ignore me. Honestly, in social situations, they speak to all of my friends but me...lol

Not...really. Well, maybe dressing (tops where you can easily see breasts, etc), but I don't usually take that into account. I don't know, perhaps I just label any girl that doesn't talk to me as a slut...I don't know.

Heh, I've tried. I've been out a bit more recently and still no luck; I haven't got anywhere (though in all fairness I don't actively try and make female friends when I'm out, that's a tad desperate).

I know I'm not the only one with this problem; a lot of my friends have similar issues. However the morals and values are...different than theirs, so I have a little more to struggle with, so-to-speak.

I think that you will be wanting someone who is mature like yourself and sadly people who are mature at your age I think would be hard to find, not that there isnt many mature people who are 17 but I think that those who are mature and "your type" are probably thinking in the exact same way as you and not really able to do much about it. Your best bet I think is for you to meet some new people like others have suggested.

I dont think pubs and clubs are a good place for you to meet the more mature types in my opinion, plus having music blasting and drunken people all around is hardly the right setting for getting to know someone at all, perhaps a phone number which could lead somewhere I suppose.

I think that a local youth club might be a good place, I am not saying go there looking for love or anything but if you put yourself out where people are you are bound to meet someone.

I get the feeling that when in social situations youre unconfident and perhaps caring about what others may think about you and I think that you should work on your confidence and also work on not caring about what others may think. That would really boost your chances of getting somewhere

By the time these girls "mature", they'll have done everything, with multiple people (not just sexually, in case that's all you thought I meant). Essentionally I'm waiting for the 'left-overs' (bad choice of words, couldn't think of how else to describe it). That always seems to be the case; the ladies come to their senses after many, piss-poor relationships and actually look for someone decent. Not only that but I can't imagine they won't share the same morals or values as me. Either I'm wrong in the head and hold too high expectations or I'm just not compatible with anyone.

Not really. I mean, I do feel a little nervous but that goes away after a while. I just get pissed off really easily when people don't approach me. Everyone always recommends I do it but I don't see why I should have to when there's plenty of other people around me who do it on regular basis. It just always seem to be ME. Even in a group of friends, when talking to strangcrs, no one speaks to ME. Bad luck I suppose.

I used to have this same problem but now I have a more positive outlook on life so I think of the other persons story as well, you kind of have to learn that other people have different positions on things and will do different things in different situations. It really is your opinion though.
