If your 'other' friends dont like you for having a love for computers then are they really worth it? Stay with the friends on your wavelength, it will work out in the end.

Hi Eza, welcome to Teen Forumz, I'm Sam.

Lacerbus has been giving some really fine advice here, let me see what I can add.

First, when you talk about a 'double life', I practically expected you to say you were an alien from another world or that you did bad things with small farm animals. Yet, your interests are hardly that deviant, enjoying technology doesn't really set you that apart from humanity.....actually, most people do enjoy that sort of thing. So, I'm not exactly sure what it is about yourself that you feel is "Different".

People tend to pick up cues from us, the vibes we send out, and often make judgments or pass opinions based on that...esp. if they don't know you well enough to have the real info on who you are and what you're about. So, perhaps that underlying feeling of "Differentness" is more apparent to you, and based on *Other* issues, and as a result, you're somehow more self conscious or hold yourself back, which people would pick up on and react to?

You are who you are, and you're entitled to enjoy the things in life that give you pleasure...as long as no one gets hurt. Most people are reasonably accomodating, even if it's stuff they don't care for or exactly understand. Maybe it's time to separate your sense of 'Differentness" that might have nothing to do with your activities and interests from the deeper stuff, relax a bit and put yourself out there and see how others respond...a reality check. Older teens are more flexible and understanding, anyway.
