Hey everyone. A long time ago, i had long...very long..hair that i decided i was bored with and cut completely off. to my chin. my dad got mad at me because ...well...actually im not sure why...but after i got my hair cut, he said something to the affect of "haha well good luck getting a date looking like that!" yet again, i cried. i couldnt understand why short hair would prevent me from ever dating. and guys...would you not date a girl just because of her short hair? he makes me so sad sometimes...i dont understand why he got so mad...
Chin length is fine! I had longish hair and I decided to get it cut to chin length and my boyfriend said it made me look even better!
I understand if you were shaving it you might run into trouble but chin length hair should not be a bother. It's still feminine and can even be really sexy.
Your dad just needs to understand it's your hair and your choice.
Don't worry Brittany. To be completely truthful, guys overall are more attracted to girls with shorter hair. It makes them different and also looks great. And even if they didn't like your hair, the person who needs to like it is you. As long as you're happy with yourself, that's what matters.
You shoud try telling your father that he hurts you when he acts like he did. He's your father, he'll probably understand.

Theres nothing wrong with that length of hair, maybe back when he was a child and I'm obv going to make a cheesy joke and say way back, but back then I think all the girls had long hair. They didn't change shit, idk maybe I'm just bullshitting but it's fine.
i wouldnt say guys like shorter hair better like one person said. I say find the hair that fits u best. Even if that means taking too much off once in a while (but u will nvr know what "too much" is w/o experimenting). So experiment! One of the hottest girls at my school almost shaves her head. But her face is gorgeous so it works. Even if u take too much off u can buy extentions or just let it grow back. Whats weird is ur dad saying that. He's either a bully or a closet incest/pedo. I bet its the bully.
Well, you and your dad have this very strange dynamic btw'n you, right? He says things that are a bit out of bounds, and you react very sharply to them...even though his comments are pretty consistent. This is yet another example. You'd do well, to sorta expect these things from him, that way you won't get your feelings hurt so much.
To answer your q, yes, I would date a girl with short hair (although my Rebecca wouldn't like me doing this, I suppose...). Or a girl with long hair. Red hair, blonde hair, black hair, brown hair. Curly or straight. Nor would I care if she changed styles (this, my Rebecca has done, without telling me, and I've always been delighted by the surprise). And, dare I say, I believe most guys would agree with these opinions.

Cut your hair, dye your hair, curl/straighten you hair however you want. Have your hair reflect what you want it to reflect - in your style/personality. Many guys look past whether or not you have long hair or short(er) hair when they see your personality shining through how you present yourself and the confidence with which you portray that.

idk if its tru that most guys prefer long hair ... I spose if u took a survey my guess they would but id say it would be close .. I still believe its what looks best on her .. I love natalie portman and pink and feel they both look better in short hair
I've had short hair for 2 years almost (growing it out now though) so, no preventing it.
To be honest, long hair often looks bad, short hair is more fun.
