Default Feel like I can't talk to my parents about anything

Title's pretty self explanatory. Even when I had a girlfriend like a year ago, we dated for like a month before I told them.

I'm not typically a shy person, but I feel really shy when it comes to talking to my parents about personal stuff.

Is this normal?

Totally normal, I'm the same way sometimes.
I guess it just depends on the relationship you have with your parents that would cause shyness towards being open about certain things.

Definitely Normal. I know I can tell my mom things but I always feel like that she won't approve XP

It's normal depending on your relationship with your parents and the way you were raised. Only you can decide if it's normal.

"If I do good, people might accuse me of selfish, ulterior motives, but I will still do it. Because I believe no one is malicious, not in their core, in their raw being.
The best in them is clouded by sorrows and fears, take those away and you'll bring out the brightest of lights in them.
Because no one can be happy without being kind, without giving ourselves to another, and we all love to give ourselves, it is our true nature.
That is why, even if I might get disappointed, I'll always give the best I've got. A single candle can light a thousand others and still burn."

Of course it's normal. Personally I don't have this problem with my parents, but I think most kids initially feel very uncomfortable talking to their parents about certain issues. You should try to be more honest with them, so that discussion about certain topics won't be awkward.

Oh yeah, you're defnitely not alone Jimmy (as i'm sure you've read). But, I hardly share anything with my parents (besides college grades). I never even told my parents that i was goign out with someone, they found out somehow and asked ME about it.

But in general, I wouldn't have the most openly commuicative relationship by any stretch. I hardly tell them anything. I know they probably really don't like this and sometimes I wish I could tell them stuff, but in truth, telling them as little as possible has almost become a habit and it's hard to break :/

I used to feel like that[afraid to tell parents about things] but not now.
If you're a girl, talk to mom. if you're a boy, talk to dad. Just be open to them and it will be unbelievably surprisin how they can get to your questions and give you very useful and important advice or things you need to know bout teenagers. Trust me : )*
