Argh,when I'm on vacation I HAVE to wear shorts, it sucks, I have to younger brothers and they have to be the same I don't even like wearing shorts. I don't wanna wear them!

Why not? Shorts are awesome. I wear em all the time, but thats only because i tan easily and my legs are muscular

I don't understand why people hate them, i would hate them if i were a ginger though, Too Pasty.

Well I'm quite tanned but I am skinny:( and my parents say they arent shorts if thru can't see my knees when I'm stood up! Argh all the cool shorts are like longer

I like shorts that cover my knees too, although it doesnt matter if they dont. I say just wear the longer ones. Who cares what your parents think. They're shorts.

They buy them too and don't let me wear log shorts it's either pants or proper shorts it sucks, even at home like recently sometimes I've been asked to change into shorts. My 2 brothers get the same usually as me BT my sister can wear what she wants

I was going suggest a dress or skirt.. then i realised your male ;O

umm, tell your parents you don't feel comfortable in the shorts they have picked for you and go shopping with them for shorts YOU feel comfortable in.

Ye there not bothered about the style as long as there proper shorts which means above the knee:(

Well, why do you HAVE to wear shorts? That would suggest they're mandatory, you don't have a voice in this. Why is that?

There are some things that, no matter how much we protest or otherwise resent, we must comply with.... usually b/c the consequences of not doing so are so risky. Think: Stop signs. Going to school. Doing homework. But shorts?

if your folks are that insistent on something that is basically harmless, then you have a much bigger problem than mere shorts...your folks are overly controlling and unresponsive to your needs. I;d find a way to address that larger issue with them, the shorts are merely a symptom of that deeper issue.
