so today at school, i boy who has bullied me not long ago (it stopped for a while but it started today) was being nasty to me, he pushed me in P.E and looked all smug, was shouting "emo!" at me and shit, in the locker rooms i flipped, i spun him round and grabbed him under his chin and pulled back so he came 2, he said he couldn't breath for a few seconds and i didn't intend on that, teacher came and i went 2 D.O (duty officer) she said that it was assult. it was not major surly! can some1 tell me how much trouble i can get into, i live in scotland, i am not that kind of person, if any1 knows, could i go 2 jail ect then please tell thanks

Don't worry yourself, explain the situation that he's been bullying you and that you've had enough, i'm sure if their decent respectful teachers they'll understand and help you sort things out.

I very much doubt you'd be sent to jail; you'll just be given a few detentions or something.

At my school a student assaulted another; full-on beat the poor kid up - thankfully he got expelled for it. In comparison, however, all you did was retaliate to someone mocking you, but accidentally ended up choking him in the process. It's hardly worth a strict punishment.

Unless your school is incredibly strict/harsh, you shouldn't be facing too much trouble.

You can't goto jail under 18 years old, if you were actually going something seriously bad most likely juvy. You'll at most get a suspension but thats it lol.

Laws vary from country to country... However, like has been said, the most that would come out of this (I think) would be detentions and/or the suspension.

Kyle, my young Scot, the major problem here is that you went from victim to perp by taking matters into your own hands here :( So, your credibility is shot, which makes it harder for people to sympathize with your actions.

Laws do vary, in the States, this type of thing (actually, assault AND battery, to be technical) is taken veeery seriously. Over there? IDK. At the very least, you'd do well to tell everyone (your folks, and the school officials)...explain what happened, acknowledge you showed bad judgment by taking matters into your own hands, BUT that doesn't take away from the fact that you were provoked, antagonized, harassed, and menaced by this bully.

Often, the people in charge have options in terms of how severe they make the consequences..and they take the overall situation into consideration. You'd do well to explain the whole situation, and also acknowledge your bad judgment..that way, you can (hopefully) reframe the incident as your being the victim (of bullying), rather than some out of control bad kid needing punishment.

Hi, well I highly doubt you'll go to jail but it is a possibility you could be charged for it, if the other students parents aren't happy about it. Something similar happened in my school and this boy got charged for assault. If you do get charged you won't be thrown out of school as it's not a school matter.

well i went to the office today, and they said i was lucky not to be charged, but now i can't even stick up for myself whatsoever, if i hit someone else ever in school i will be charged, I now am very sure that now i cant defend myself i will be a sitting duck for bullies, what is the fucking point?!?!? should i think about moving schools? i mean, a bully could punch me and if i hurt him worse i would be in major shit!
