Anyone no the legal age you can leave home in the UK ?

I have two possible answers from research

it's either 16 or 18.

16 in special circumstances as long as you have a designated garontore (not sure how it's spelt but basically someone who will make sure bills are paid as you cant borrow until your 18) other than that to move out completely on your own you have to be 18.

So if I was say moving into a freinds house I'm fine ? But I can't just move out and live on my own ?

You mum does have to accept it if it's 16, after 18 she doesn't have to know etc.

Unless you have a good reason for leaving. Then it's 18. But you can at 16 with the help of seven archs or other young housing assoications.

My advice? Don't leave home it will be a big mistake

if u can prove that ur better off in a different home then u can at 16. just googled it.
