Everyone is innately selfish. I don't think its possible, in most situations/circumstances to not be selfish.
So, no, I don't think its wrong for you. There are times in life where we have to think about ourselves, where we have to tend to our needs. We have to tend to ourselves before we are even able to tend to those around us.
With that said, I think its important that you do think about your dreams, that you work to achieve the things you would like to see in your life. But, with that same note, I want to add that while you're doing that... Don't lose sight of those around you.

Absolutely it's okay to be selfish sometimes.
Never feel bad about putting what you want in life above others as long as it's within reason obviously, otherwise no one would ever achieve anything.

Thanks Shonna, I have felt bad about it in the past still do sort of. It's getting the right balance which I'm finding the hard bit. I don't want to be totally selfish I still care about others just enough selfishness to get my dream if that makes sense.
Iv'e put up with aload of selfish people in my family just don't want to go to far and got straight pass my aim.

I say "fuck everyone else" and I'd do what I'd want to do. If they don't like it, then that's their problem.

I guess it is a balance. If you do to much of one thing you gonna get messed up.
But to be a "Nice" person you should put others first more often.
Now if you want to be logical about it, you can be selfish so you can help more people later on.
