Hey! well the title says it all, i find it really hard to smile alot of the time expecially if im talking to people i dont know.

Some people just don't smile a lot. I don't i hate to smile unless im really happy/laughing. people who walk around stores/etc whatever randomly smiling annoy the heck out of me. So i wouldn't worry about it.

Hi Coldwindblows, welcome to the forum. I hope you can stay and make some friends.

By your post I take it you have trust issues and have sadness in your life, but you're not alone. Friendship, or finding the courage to make friends is sometimes difficult, and if you are feeling sad and find it hard to smile, you aren't the only one.

Do you have a besty? Someone close to you, or a family member? Maybe you could talk to them, but as you are here please could you open up a little bit more, and then we'll be glad to help.

I'm kinda known on this forum for not smiling often, especially in pictures.

Erm...I don't really know what to suggest. A smile is supposed to be natural, not forced, so it only makes sense that you smile when is necessary (like, when someone tells a joke you like etc).

My "normal" face is supposedly quite grumpy-looking at times, so maybe you have the same issue? Maybe you need to relax a bit when speaking to people you don't know? In a conversation, try to crack a joke or sarcastic comment with a slight smirk...

haha yeah sorry for being so vague guys..... i sorta meant it like, say im with a group of people i just find it really hard to smile or laugh at anything they say, even if its funny. its hard to explain its like i want to be able to laugh and smile, to just let it naturally happen but i always end up with a dead serious look like i cant joke around.
