I sometimes feel like this too, or worry that new people won't like me (and i can be shy too which often doesn't help). But if you're meeting new people, just try and talk casually and try to avoid coming across loud or annoying. Being very opinionated in the company of new people can also be a turn off. Maybe the odd sprinkling of humour and wit might break the ice and draw people towards you (: Good luck!!
