Default Should I press charges, or at least sue?

I was coming home from my friend's home yesterday, and I am in the cross walk. Now I am crossing and some bitch in a green sedan hits me, this is literally 50 yards from my house. I wasn't hit hard, she was going like 10 mph, and I saw just in time to jump into her windshield using my shoulder to brace the impact. I flipped her off, her son got out of the car and I punched him in the face, then I spat on the car and walked home. They live literally like 100 yards away, I have taken pictures of my bruises on my shoulder. Their windshield is cracked all on the driver's side and I am not sure if I should press charges or at least sue.

I often don't have a rhyme or reason, only a rhythm.

Let it go. You go your fill. Now if they press charges, countersue their asses. But its not worth it. It was an accident.

Well, seeing as you retaliated by flipping the person off and punching the son in the face can get you in trouble as well.

So, it's really ultimately up to you to decide. You can choose whether or not to press charges or sue, but know you may be counter sued or even press chargers for that.

Be thankful you aren't dead and it wasn't more damage though.

I know, I also really don't want to get the cops involved either.

They spoke Spanish, I know that if I had stayed standing I could of broken a leg or something, that is why I jumped towards the windshield, bracing myself using my shoulder, you learn shit like that when your dad is a veteran.

That sucks. But, like Jared said, let it go.

But keep it as a bargaining chip - if they try to press charges or sue, countersue them.

I don't think you have an interest in suing them, or they will sue you for the punch in return...

I am not really interested in suing them, it is just I don't think they should get off scot free.

^. This, Eli.

The judicial system isn't there for your use as retribution. If you've been injured and have unpaid expenses, suing would be an option to recover those monetary losses.

Of course, they could have their own losses now too, after your punching the passenger in the face.

Next time, consider calling 911 and let the police intervene.
