Default Charity Fundraising Ideas?

As the title says, brainstorming for ideas for raising money.

It's all for a good cause, going to charity. There's me and 5 other friends of mine and the target is over the course of the next 8 months to raise £1874 (odd number I know.)

So, does anybody have any good ideas? Doesn't matter how difficult/easy or cheap/expensive the ideas might be to organise and set up; I'd like to hear them.

Thanks

My immediate thought for a fundraiser that would be sure to catch attention is:

A male beauty pageant or a powderpuff football game. LOL.

^ I did a sponsored 1 mile run when I was 10. I got around £200 from relatives alone!

Asforf other ideas,

A Car-Wash,
Brick-a-Brac Sale,
Coffee Evening,
or try selling a quiz?

Our Girl Guides sold a sheet of paper with quiz questions on it for 75p a sheet, the person who bought it would fill in the answers and send it back to us and we would the top 3 sheets with the most correct answers to receive a prize. ( In our case it was three cheap stationary sets )

It's great that you're raising money

There are lots of classic fundraising ideas but it's hard to think of ones which haven't been mentioned already...

You could be sponsored for just about anything...running, cycling, silence, wearing pyjamas all day and going about your usual business, bathing in custard, golden syrup or tomato sauce! Bake sales where you get as many people to bake things and sell them, sales of all kinds of old things, organised games or races.

And then there's the classic standing outside in the street with a tin and a big banner

Raffles are also an option, or you could make T-shirts/ badges and sell them.

Arrange a charity themed party with an entrance fee.

Overall you could raise quite a lot of money by doing all of these things, good luck!
