I was walking a while ago in a bad part of town when I heard 3 or 4 quick gunshots...I just kept walking and eventually came to where the scene took place...
At the side of the road lay a black dude probably 23 or so and he had blood every where...I walked up to see if he was dead, and to my suprise he was still gasping for air...Right away I knew he was dying...
He had a kinda peaceful look on his face as he stared at the sky...
When he saw me, he seemed to come back a little...He looked at me and said"everybody dies"...He then stopped breathing and his eyes rolled back in his head...
I quickly ran off, as I wanted no problems with the cops...I've had enough encounters with them before to know i'd rather not be with a dead man when they find him...
I started thinking about what the guys said before he died..."Everybody dies" he said...I don't know why but somehow that makes me feel better about life...Makes me feel a little more carefree...More willing to take risks..It don't make a differance...Everybody dies...That's my new motto..

Yeah everyone dies... i get that.. but young people just shooting each other..? it's sad..
There's just so much pain and hurt everywhere, it's suffocating.

Guys... there was blood everywhere, he was dying, he said two words when he saw him and then he was dead. not breathing. eyes rolled back. Ambulance would take at least a few minutes, bad towns aren't on the top of their list either.. it's very unlikely.. And like he said, with his past with the cops they wouldn't believe him and would blame him, in bad towns they're willing to put as many trouble makers behind bars easily. He'd be charged for murder or accessory for murder just because he was there and there wasn't proof he wasn't there when he was shot. Things like that. I'm sure he wasn't just left there for the crows, someone called. Maybe not the best thing to do, but you can easily see why he was scared to report it himself. The point is, called or not, the guy was dead... Not to mention the state of shock and that seeing a guy die, would cloud normal judgment.

Hmm but sometimes they can get brought back to life or something, i would never walk by without doing anything. But its not up to me, so if he didnt wanna do anything then yeah. Hmmm:/:(
Even if there was 0 possibility to save him, they would've atleast gotten him off the sidewalk and cleaned up the place. What if a child walked by it, it could potentially be traumatic

So sad. Sometimes I wonder what the world's becoming.
And, agreeing with Kate, there wasn't anything he could have done if there was blood everywhere and he died right after he arrived. Someone else would have heard the gunshots and called the police.

Well it was a completely empty street from what I gathered reading it. He just went up to the guy and then ran away. And even so, he should've still called, you can't count on other people for everything.

It's unacceptable for him to have left a corpse in the street, even if I can see why he choose to do it; that's someone's husband/child/uncle etc we're talking about here, a human being...he doesn't deserve to be left like that.
