I am the proud mother of an 18-year old boy looking for some answers from his peers. Recently, my son and I both got viruses on our computers. I was looking for the antivirus installer disc so I could reinstall the software. My son had left his laptop out, so I popped open the DVD drive to see if it was in there. Instead, there was a disc labeled "California Mean Girls." I figured it was some spinoff of that movie Mean Girls with Lindsay Lohan. Thinking nothing of it, I closed the drive and the movie began to play automatically. Right away I could tell it was something else entirely. It basically consisted of a series of scenes showing women kicking men in the balls. Why anybody would want to watch that is beyond me. Then the phone rang and I went to answer it, leaving the movie playing. A few minutes later, my son walked in the room. I said, "Why would you want to watch this kind of stuff? Is that what passes for humor nowadays?" He seemed a little embarrassed about it, but he said yes, that it was just really funny to him. He asked if I would watch it with him and I said no thanks. He said come on, give it a try, so I said fine. In the movie, this lady was driving around Las Vegas, interviewing women on the street about their experiences of kicking men "down there." She even had a guy with her who the women could kick if they wanted to! These ladies weren't holding back, either. That guy must either be sterile or talking like Mickey Mouse by now because he took a lot of low blows. In every case, after the woman kicked him in the nuts, she would crack up laughing while the guy crumpled to his knees. I know when my son was 13, I kicked him in the nuts by accident once and I felt terrible. I certainly wasn't laughing about hurting someone. After a while, I just said, "You're crazy for watching this, there are better things to do with your time." Can someone explain why this is so funny?
I suppose it's just teenage humour.
There are different kinds of comedy to suit different kinds of audiences, this is just one example of the many branches of comedy that appeal to people.
I personally would not want to watch an entire DVD of a man being kicked in the nuts, but hey, that's just my opinion. I wouldn't worry about your son watching it, it's not exactly going to do any harm, it's probably just the "trend" right now with his mates.
Sounds pretty funny, don't worry too much about it, we all get over this type of humour sooner or later. At first I thought it was going to be some sick video in the style of 2 girls 1 cup.

To be perfectly honest with you; whilst I have a somewhat dark sense of humour and find a lot of rude/unpleasant things funny, from your description I can't really fathom why your son would find such a thing humorous. I would simply hazard a guess and say that this is yet another one of those bizarre things that teenagers/young adults find entertaining. Rest assured, whilst a lot of the younger generation find this sort of thing funny, there are many of his peers, such as myself, that do not; we're not all crazy.
There are other possible reasons for why your son would want to watch such a thing, but I would much rather not go into detail.
Actually, there are fetishes about this sort of thing; women humiliating men in this fashion, just as there are fetishes for violet humiliation porn with women being slapped around and degraded and what not.
Given his age,I'd say your son is exploring his sexuality.
I don't think he'd be "exploring his sexuality" with his mom watching. Trust me, he probably watches it just for humour

Uhh would you rather admit to watching that sort of thing to whack off too, or try to pass it off as humorous?
Cause I sure as hell would not even admit to watching regular porn to my parent, let alone fetish material. I'd post a link to one of the many porn sites you can find on this material, but Idk if it's against the rules or not.
Thank you all for your input. I asked my son some more questions, and he admitted that a friend of his did get the movie from a fetish site, but he swears up and down that it is not a sexual thing for him, he just thinks it is funny. I don't know, it's all a little strange, but I probably should not be discussing it on a teen forum at this point! I told him I don't care what he does in his free time, but I don't want to see that kind of thing in my house again because it makes me uncomfortable, and he understood that.
