It is great that you are willing to help people, it is the main reason why these forums exist.

My advice for helping people out is to be proactive, people wont come to you for help. Look around the forums and respond to topics, that are currently active, the best you can. If it is something that needs emotional support try putting yourself in the OP's shoes and try to think about they may feel so that your advice can be more pesonal. If the OP asks a scientific question try doing a bit of research so that you can give a more detailed answer but make sure it covers the question
