If available, why not a carnival?

^Not available, but a good hint to jump on the next opportunity, thanks

Thanks to everyone else too. I have reconsidered the movie date idea with a modified meal afterwards being that we get something to eat AND walk while eating it. This would allow for casual conversation while eating and the awkward silences from when we are eating at the same time would be filled by the actions of walking and stuff we see around.

Also, might consider a double date if I can think of anyone to do it with. Sub question:

Would a double date work better if the other couple were just starting to date also, or if they had been dating for some time (say a month or longer)?

@admilu- A double date could work, if you feel nervous about going on the date and would like to have a friend with you, but I think a casual, single date would be better so that all your attention would be on her and getting to know each other better, having a good time, ect. But double dates can work - I don't think it matters how long the couple have been dating, but it would probably help if you and your date both knew both of the couple quite well, so all of you could talk together and the date wouldn't be made more awkward with some people not knowing other people on the date. And make sure you spend most of your attention on her.

Double date would be a nice thing to get the nerves down, but it's still awkward noentheless, and also like pointed out already, you won't be completely alone which means making those awkward conversations WITH other people listening in.

Also, if their all your pals, she'll still feel nervous, even more so possibly.

Your current plan seems to be tactful enough.

@Doniv Darker How I am a girl and I could careless what we would be doing as long as its not extra awk. Or boring and dumb.
Oh and you can also like ask her what she likes to do before you ask her on a date just to see

^Well of course, it's always better to have some opinions/hints. I was just talking about general cases where women psychologically check whether or not their date can be a suitable partner by inconspicuously checking his organization andgeneral understanding skills. I was also under the presumption that the OP did ask her indirectly or directly, and was glancing at more opinions.
