Educational crisis.
If you're from the UK I need not tell you the importance of a sixth form and the influence of a sixth on your university, especially if you want to study medicine at Cambridge/Oxford.
I applied to one sixth form which just felt like the one for me. The only problem was the fees. After an extrance exam and interview I was rejected on the basis of not being able to pay the fees without aid, I don't think my Mum knows why I was rejected and I don't plan on telling her, needless to say, she's depressed. The worst thing about it is that besides a few local schools with terrible records, there's nowhere else I can go. I might sound like an arrogant prick but rejection is not something I'm used to in terms of academics, I know that and so does my mum which just makes matters worse.
Normally this wouldn't bring me down but I guess I've got a bit going on right now, plus with exams (GCSEs) lurking around the corner in two months my confidence is starting to crack, I guess I need to bore to someone by venting.
Either way, what would you do in my situation?
