Don't know, isn't it awkward to have fun on your own at a bar/club?...
It's a nice concert I'd love to go, but that's it. Maybe there's a chance to meet someone?...
Of course you'll meet someone. Especially if theres a lot of strangers. Most especially if its dark. Everyone looks the same in the dark. Just make sure you dont have to deal with them afterwards, or it would be awkward then. If your shy like I am, doing stuff like that is a great oppurtunity to be a new person and go from socially awkward to awesome.
Well from I had this problem and I posted about it. There was this party where people knew who i was but i only knew two girls there so i didnt go to avoid the massive amount of akwardness.
Okay, it may have been good to have gone but at the time it felt a better option to avoid that feeling which Im highly aware of. If you're totally anon, I'd go. However, I say this and I'm wanting to go to an 18 party this tuesday and i darent go on my own :/ I dont know what to do either aha.

You're not the first to go to a club alone, many guys/gals do it daily. It's a matter of do you have the confidence to start and finish a pick-up with the sex you're attracted to. To sum it up no it's not weird or wrong, have at it!
I get where you're coming from, I haven't had good new year experiences.
Last year, however, I gatecrashed and I didn't really know anyone except three people. It was fun, so go ahead and try it
