Default My Brain Won't Shut Up

I've been having the hardest time sleeping lately because I can't get myself to stop thinking and worrying. Sometimes I want to start screaming so I can drown out all the negative thoughts in my head. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone have any tips on how to shut my brain off so I can sleep?

I have this problem some days, the trick is music, it can help more than anything I can find.

I have this all the time

I usually just stay up till I'm so tired I fall asleep crying and think to much, but if I need to get sleep I take over the counter sleeping meds

Get something with L-tryptophan

I would use music but then I have a hard time sleeping because of the sound. I usually like complete silence when I sleep.

I take Melatonin every night and it helped for awhile but sometimes it's not enough, what do you use?

Melatonin doesnt do anything for me either

there is liquid and pill sleep things the pills i use i cant remember the name
it comes in a small box and it say go to sleep early wake up refreshed or something like that that same kind has a liquid form but i havnt tried it

what also works for me is dream water its like 2 or 3 bucks a bottle though and supposedly you should drink the whole thing but for me it take 3 or 4 sips and im out

all of these i have only found at wallgreens so sorry bout that you might be able to get em online

I don't trust the use of meds, they change us, they aren't my cup of tea, I have been meditating for months though, and that can relax you, and almost leave you in a state of euphoria.

For trying to sleep, I play calming music and read a little bit. I oftentimes have 50000 things going on in my head when I really just need to sleep. Also, try to get off the internet an hour before you go to bed and do something else- it just keeps you awake. I don't trust sleeping meds much, but they can help.

Thanks everyone. Showers wake me up and music wakes me up though :p Maybe I just need to find the right kind of music.
