Ok, so I have this friend who goes to another school. I'm a girl and he's a boy and he used to like me when we first became 'best friends' but I'm pretty sure he doesn't anymore. We've been best friends for a little over 2 years now and we don't see eachother very often since we live kind of far apart but we talk every day. I recently started dating a boy that he goes to school with and is kind of friends with and he got kind of mad about it. For about the past year I've kind of had feelings for my best friend on and off and I never told him about it though. Now that I'm dating the kid from his school I'm starting to regret it. I really like this kid but there are a lot of things I don't like about him too. I still kind of have feelings for my bestfriend and I don't know who to ask adivce from so that's why I got on here. I've never been one who likes having boyfriends that much. I always think I want a boyfriend but then once I get one I get sick of them really quick because I'm very independent and would rather be alone sometimes and the boy I'm dating now wants to be together almost all the time and I get sick of it. I don't know if I really don't want to have a boyfriend and I'm just telling myself I dont want one and then I'll miss him if I broke up with him. My bestfriend and I are a lot alike and I don't know if we would actually work really well together or if we're better off just being friends. I don't know if I only want to date my bestfriend cause it feels 'safe' because I'm already used to talking to him all the time anyway. I feel like I would like that more because we don't see eachother very often anyway and it would feel more like my 'normal' life or if I'm better off just staying single. My bestfriend and I are graduating this year and my boyfriend is only a junior so he will be in high school another year. I'm so confused and I dont even know what I'm trying to ask advice about!!!!

In my opinion if some one is saying to choose who to keep in your life and who to kick choose the person who didn't give you that ultimatum

Why would you want a friend or boyfriend controlling who your other friends are

No one is asking me to choose, I'm just really confused as to if I want a boyfriend or not and if I want to keep my bestfriend as just that or if I want to actually be more than friends.
