I've been on the pill(Yasminelle) for about a year now. Last friday(3rd of Feb) I was supposed to start my new pack, but due to money issues, couldnt. Anyway, I have them now and I'm wondering, should I start over when my new cycle starts, or can I just take the 5th day pill now, or what? I'm not having any kind of sex right now, btw.

If you take the first pill on your first cycle day it should be effective straight away. If you take it on the fifth day of the cycle, it would be wise to wait at least 7 days before any intercourse.

Well, I'm not having nor planning to have any sex in the near future, so I'm not worrying about protection against pregnancy, more like health wise. Thanks for the answers though.
Pills already mess a bit with your inside. Proof? Well, the hormones you're taking are similar to ours and the pills are created by humans, which is already supposed to mess us up inside. It's not a natural thing. But hey, or else, it wouldn't work, right?
I started mine on the 5th day of my cycle as well (mine said I could take it), and it was my first time ever taking the pill, and I'm waiting at least 7 days before... anything.
Anyhow, you should check the pill's pamphlet and read carefully before taking any advice here. There are lots of different pills out there.

It's the 5th day of when I should take the pill, but the 9th day of my cycle. I know what you mean though, mine said the same, but nothing about the situation im in. I'm only asking because I know a girl who took the pills pretty much only when her partner was around and she ended up with some serious bleedings in the hospital.
Ohwow. º_º Then if you're probaly not having any sex soon, maybe wait for your next cycle and take it normally, on first day, etcetc?

For a girl to have heavy bleeding and be taken to the hospital the pills need to be very intense. She probably took very strong pills, or the next-day pill (which is very destructive).
But, if you're just doing this for health, consider waiting for your next cycle before restarting. Taking it now could make your cycles unstable for a bit, and can be a bit uncomfortable.
