Well I am a Irish Dancer (known to some of you as Riverdance..)

and in June or July the school is doing some 'Olympics' (sports day.. they renamed it) and we are doing a opening ceremony, and they want any kind of dancers, and I want to do my Irish Dancing, but I'm not sure I dare.. As I will be doing it infront of over 800 people and I am nervous, and I get bullied, so I'm not sure it will mix.... but I need to get my confidence skills up so I'm not nervous (I'm Aiming to go to the worlds in a few years)
But I do want to do it, but I simply don't dare..
should I do it though? or should I not? helppp!

It's up to you to find the answer, really. But, if you're proud of your dances and enjoy what you do, why would you care about others think? Everywhere you go, there's always someone going to dislike it or even put you down, so you might as well put on a smile and not mind.

I've not gone dancing for ages and hoping to go back.. even my mum said to me 'if you want to have the piss taken out of you for 6 months'

I'm just scared of the 800 people really..

Ask yourself if when you are out of high school you want to look back and "wish" you had gone for it.

I'm gonna do it, I've decided.. but I'm asking my dance class mates if they can come and do it with me!

Do it if you want to. Just practice so you are ready. having people do it with you is a good idea ... more fun and meet people. People will respect you for it, some may bully you but the respect will outweigh any bullying that happens
