Last night was my prom (i'm in high school), and i went with my girlfriend of 2 years and it was a little odd some guy i'm not to sure who. I have never seen him before sat at out table. he was supposedly another girls date and him and my gf were talking the entire time. After prom at the party i was sitting with a bunch of my friends so i went to visit my girlfriend to see how she was and she was cuddling with this guy on a bench. I asked her what the hell and she replied with that she stopped loving me weeks ago and that we're ex's now. the worst part is is i live in a tight knit family and I had introduced her and my family all loved her and its not the easiest thing to say that you aren't with her anymore when your relationship is going so well. probably the worst pain in the world is seeing the girl you love loving someone else even tho you thought she loved you.

Hate to be so harsh, but be glad that ___ is out of your life. I mean that's just so unclassy, unrespectable and a true testament to character. The best thing you can do is to move on. What she did was bang out of order and you don't deserve that kind of treatment. It may feel like your life is ruined but you have to learn from this in future. Your better than what she deserves and if she's going to act like that she'll soon realise in future she's done wrong, she'll get a reputation for it. It's basic disrespect especially after 2 years together.
You just need to inform your parents of the situation and tell them your just gonna move on.

You need to lose these feelings you have for her, it'll take time but if you don't you'll only hurt yourself in future.

Your life is not over, but you are still going to be hurting over it for a while. 2 years is a long time to love someone for them to just dump you like that. Try to put it all in the past and know that this is for the best. You will find someone again who you will love just as much as her if not more. When your family starts asking about her absence in your life, just calmly tell them that you are not with her anymore and if they are a pain about it, tell them to get over it and move on like you are.

Yeah like others have said she is the one in the wronf massively and you need to move on and don't worry about telling your family because if anything they will sympathise with you about it.
