I really want to cry but I can't, I just find it so difficult. When I get sad, I find myself wanting to be alone, without anyone. I feel that as though if I dislocate myself from my friends and family that my pain will go away, I just bury it deep inside.
I don't know what to do, I just really want to cry.

Sometimes that is a good thing to do (like if it is an inappropriate time to cry, say, in the middle of a diner, but you need to eventually let that out. Do it when your alone or with a real good friend and it will help. What ever the reason is that you are feeling like this - it is always best to address it (trust me, I know) no matter how weird or awkward it is, or even if the reason is something that happened a long time ago - if you keep running from it, it will eventually catch back up. So let the emotions go and just get it all off of your chest

Perhaps it would help to find something that allows you to express yourself? It doesn't need to be tears - at least not when it seems you can't let them out. So, turn to other forms of expression? Art, Music, etc?
Perhaps try journaling? Just let it flow out of you onto the paper...
Its a hard place to be where you're at - I think many of us have been there or still go through it. Maybe its just finding someone to talk to to find an outlet. Someone you trust, someone that you know you can just let it out and not be judged or looked at differently for it.
These are just ideas - but if you need to talk, I'm available and so are many others here.

There are people here you can talk to... I'm one of them if you're ever interested.
So, play video games, read... It helps take your mind into another place; and it might be argued that it simply allows for distraction. But I would argue it allows you to process through things a little easier.

I'd be more then happy to talk to you. I have depression so I kinda know exactly how you feel. When I get down I just like to reserve myself and cut off from everyone as well. And I have no outlets either, and I love to read. So maybe talking would help?
Also, As hard as it is sometimes you really do need to vent. If you just talk to someone and blurt out everything you feel, in a way it's just like crying. It's a release in a way. I understand you may not feel comfortable doing that with friends or family, but just even a stranger you won't need to talk to again, or me. Give it a shot even though it's hard. I typically get like that where i build it up for weeks, then explode when I get down, and repeat. So I'm here for you if you want to send me your MSN or a PM or something.

I wish I had your problem. I get a little bit too emotional. I've already felt like crying twice just this morning.
Most people who like to read aspire to develop their own stories. You may not think you'll be good at it, but you have to start somewhere. Maybe just journaling what's been going on in your life. I do that sometimes and I end up crying a lot.
