Hey, I am have been where you are. In 8th grade it was like that for me.
My parents never let on that we where having troubles. Parents are usually
not going to tell you that they are having money troubles because they feel
like it's their responsibility to take of the kids. (Which it is)

You are only kid you shouldn't have to be worrying this. but I know how you feel.
If you are old enough and have your way you could apply for part time jobs.
You could work at a grocery store or a fast food place. It's not much but it's
a start and does help.

If you are not having any luck with that you could always do obb jobs
for anyone that you know. Mowing,Baby Sitting,Carwash etc.

I know that it's really tough finding a job in this shitty economy,
But give it a go. See if you can get references from people you know, or if you can get some applications in different areas where you live.

Volunteer work can also do wonders for your resume to help you get a job too!

*Oh, and btw, I DO throw rage fits.
If I get overly aggressive at you, just ignore me.

Overall, if you need help, please feel free to ask me for it.

IMO the best contribution you can make to the situation is to justify the fees your folks have been paying for your schooling by doing great in school. That's one headache they won't have to worry about on top of whatever else.

In all probability, any income you can bring in at your age would hardly dent the debt of a functioning household. If you feel you have to contribute, then contribute by being a less expensive kid. Less requests for money for this or that is a contribution. Any job is only okay if it does not interfere with your education in any way.

Your parents would probably really appreciate you being sensitive to the situation, so talk to them and show you're mature enough to understand and want to help. Families get through stuff like this together.

All the best
Cookie and Foxes like this.
