hi, the best time to take a test is when your period is supposed to commence, or you can take it up to a week before hand but best to wait until that date.

Emma, the OTC pregnancy tests work by detecting a hormone pregnant women excrete in their urine, so you have to wait until you've missed your period for about a week.

The option which might be best for you since you've had unprotected intercourse so recently is the Morning After pill, or Plan B.

Also, recognizing your bad judgment isn't a substitute for birth control! Get a box of condoms while you're at the drug store.

you might just be late. if you dnt come on in a week then take 1, its very unlikely to get pregnant just from a few times, (iv been having unprotected sex for months lol).

Usually it takes about two weeks after having unprotected sex to take a pregnancy test for any HCG levels to be found in your system. The best thing I can tell you do to is wait another week after you've missed your period, make an appointment you're doctor and get blood testing done. I always recommend blood testing versus HPT because the HPT's don't detected pregnancy's right away like blood testing does. Don't stress yourself out it'll delay you're period even more and make even more nervous.
