Default Teen Parents

Just wondering how many of you on this site are teen moms (or dads!)

Has having a child(ren) as a teen been difficult? What has your experience been like?

I sure hope you aren't going to try and do it.. Of course its hard, harder then a LOT then handle and it's just stupid to purposely have one, shouldn't even be having sex till like 18 . The fact you even ask if it's difficult makes me wonder..

From joy to sorrow, yesterday to tomorrow, you've been there. Friends like you are rare, your touch is so gentle,
You're my guardian angel.
Like a blossoming flower spreading your wings in grace, filling my heart with power
by feeling your embrace.

Wherever the wind may blow, we will overcome this war, in times happy or sore, I will never let you go.
With a gentle warm heart and a will of stone, We'll never be apart, You'll never be alone. - John <3

Of course it's difficult, but it's difficult for people in different ways so I guess I'm more curious to know what exactly has been the hardest in your situation and how it played out.
It's just a question, lol. Nothing to get worked up about.

The last year in high school out of about 100 girls (very small school) there were about 7 pregnancies that I knew of.

Awww, cute! I'm sure they'll be a lot of work though. My boyfriend's mom had twin girls right after we started dating...they're a handful! Do you have any support?

And congratulations!

Someone at my school got pregnant near her GCSE exams. Boyfriend left her and wanted nothing to do with the baby (at 'least, that's the impression I'm getting). They're relationship wasn't exactly stable before the pregnancy, so to be honest I think they're both stupid for having the child. I believe she has raised the kid practically by herself, with the support of her friends and family, but it's still difficult for her without the father. She also didn't have a job for a while and that was upsetting for her.

It's best not to get pregnant until you're 18+ and in a stable relationship, IMO. Fair play to those who take on the challenge though. I know this post isn't exactly answering the OP's question, but it's some-what related and may be representative of someone else's on here's experience.

I agree with you kirk. I think it takes a lot to come together before people should try (stable job, savings, very stable relationship, an education, back up plan, place to live on your own) so I definately wouldn't suggest teens think about it. But it is possible for teen parents do very well (better than adults), not that I would advise anyone to try.

My friend has a 1 year old (he's 1 tomorrow!!) and is still with the father. She has her own house with her fiance and son.

Most teen are bad mums but there are teens who are amazing mums and anyone who disagrees with that then your blind.
