Ok everyone,

This is on behalf of my friend Bex who is 18...

About 3 months ago me, Bex and some friends went to a house party which is where she met Jason. He has a reputation for being the 'bad boy' of the area but Bex couldn't resist him! We all had a bit much to drink that night, and we couldn't find Bex for a good hour while we were at the party. Anyway, it wasn't until we were on our way home that she (in her drunken state) told us where she had been... and who with. She told us they "F*cked in someone's bedroom". The next morning, she was SO hungover that we had to tell her what she did because she just couldn't remember!

About 6 weeks ago, Jason was in a car accident and unfortunately, died. We had only met him the once at the party, including Bex, and hadn't heard or seen him since.

Since then, she had been complaining of nausea and bloating, we asked her if she could be pregnant, but she said she has had spotting/ very light period(s). She went to her GP anyway, who took some blood tests and told her she is 9 weeks pregnant!

She was/ is in complete shock, as she only found out a few days ago. She knows it is Jason's baby but doesn't know what to do!

I want to be a good friend and help her but I get completely tongue tied and my mind goes blank when she asks me what she should do.

Should she tell his family that she is carrying his child? As it is their only connection they have left to Jason. Or should she keep it at all and live her life like it had never happened?

I am seeing her this week sometime and hope to give her some good advice from what feedback I get on here..

You can't tell how far along someone is just by taking their blood. Just saying...

I think telling the father's family is the best idea, they deserve to know. The kid won't have his father, he at least deserves grandparents that love him and in the future he can get to know his father through them.

Yeah she had a blood test which came out positive then they calculated the first day of her last menstrual period (something like that) to determine how far along she is.

I think that what you wrote is a really good option.

i give it a 7 out of 10. Kinda formula and predictable; it had a lot of clichés, but i liked it because its does a decent job of going over the top assuming the reader is totally nieve...

I thought it might be fabricated, but I thought it was rude to point fingers and blame someone of being fake, so I gave her the advice anyway.
Either way, if the person gets a kick out of pretending to be someone else online, it's their own business. Let's hope the OP enjoys himself/herself.

yeah... that really is the right\best approach, or simply ignore the post.

the thing here is that there is very clear posting pattern that makes it very hard to take it seriously. a few guys at school have told me they done this kind of thing. not here, but in other forums.
