She gets child support either way. @RileyR does he work? You can sue for child support and the government will garnish his paycheck. I was raised without a father and never saw him once. I feel I would miss him way more if I would have met him. My friends mom is in the exact situation you were in, she got pregnant at 15, had the baby at 16, and my friend sees her father 1-2 times a year. It is so hard on her, its to the point she doesn't want to see him because she knows he will just leave again. I would do anything you could to get child support and not let him have visitation. Go away to college.

Aw, come on. Let the kids see their father. It would kill me if I knew that there wasa man who contributed 50% of howI looked, acted, etc. and I never got to see him. Just my own personal view.

However, it inevitably comes down to your decision.

Well thank you for giving me a male perspective but I'm not some heartless witch and he is not the victim. HE walked out on me and them a long time ago. I think girls need their dads, I don't want to take them for him but I can't just wait around for whenever he is ready for us I have to move on and live my life. He can see them whenever he wants I just want the option to take them out of state with me. He can come visit and promise to bring that back.

You go girl! He cannot tell you how to live your life, or your daughters for that matter.

I would say he actually has no right to sue(spelling?) you about it. If he decided that he did not want to be apart of raising them and pays no child support then i don't think he has the right to sue. Good luck!

Anyone has the right to sue anyone, I could sue McDonalds for making me fat, i'm not fat and I don't eat at McDonalds. It is his right to sue her because thats how America is. It is every fathers legal obligation to pay child support if they don't live with their child. No judge in their right mind will give custody to the father. She doesn't have to worry.
