Blog #9 - I Don’t Know What the HELL is Going on…
SOOOO… I was suppose to start my period three days ago (the tenth of September to be exact), but guess what? Nothing happened. I got a little bit of cramps and everything, but other then that, nopee. Nothing.
I AM sexually active. I had sex a few hours before my period was SUPPOSE to start, so I didn’t know if that could delay my period for a day or two because I know for some of my friends it does that. Though, for me I’m not sure. It had never really delayed it before, though it had only happened once on the day I was suppose to get it, but I got it the next day.
Of course, I did take a pregnancy test, because if I was pregnant it would of shown. It said NOT PREGNANT. Well, it didn’t write it out, but I made an effort to stare the damn little stick down for ten minutes and it didn’t change from there.
I didn’t know if there was any other causes for a missed period besides pregnancy? I will take another test for that in a day or two if my period still doesn’t show up. I am 16, 5 feet 1 inch (I know I’m a shorty) and about 97lbs. I’m saying this because I know that sometimes being too much under or over weight can miss your period. Though, I believe I am in the right area of weight. I do NOT eat to healthy lately. I’ll eat one, maybe two meals a day because I am under a lot of STRESS. I’m in my last two years of required school and am taking two advanced college courses as well as two more advanced placement classes. I also attend nursing class three hours after school and only get a minimum of 4-6 hours of sleep a night. I’m always the last one awake and first one up in my household. It sucks.
I don’t know if any of these could cause missed periods? Eating habits, stress, etc? Any help would be useful.
Also, usually if I post something like this people are always telling me “Don’t have sex unless you’re ready for a baby”. Well, I don’t need to hear that. I AM financially ready for a baby and I’ll love him or her no matter what and the father is supporting all the way. He actually wants one right now, but I’m more hesitant about it.
It would also be of use to me if someone could help me figure out where to get birth control. I must admit, I’m not ready to talk to my parents about my sexual relations yet, but I would still like to find a way to receive birth control because I am tired of situations like this.
Any information is helpful. Thank you.
