Do you have enough money saved up to pay at least 6 months worth of bills on top of an emergency fund?
Because he might have a job in a brewery, but what if he loses that job?
He's not just going to be able to go out and find a job the next day that pays well, if even enough to support you and a kid.
A kid at your age is just NOT a good idea.
That's not even bringing up the fact that you're both still young. You or he could decide the feelings are no longer there or that you/he doesn't want the responsibility of a kid anymore. A friend of mine is going through that right now. They've been together for 8 years, have two kids, one of which is only 6 months old, they have $63,000 of debt because he lost his job while she was on maternity leave and she had decided she wanted to go back to school and her fiance (who's 27 btw, a more normal age to be having/wanting kids) decided he no longer wants the commitment and that life isn't how he thought it would be. They're trying everything they can to make it work, including making their relationship an "open" one so that he is free to have sex with other women because with a kid at home, who really has time for sex?
There's nothing wrong with waiting.
