Correct me if I'm wrong, but surely a foetus is not a child in the same way that a child is not an adult. Does a child have any less right to life than an adult?

I believe that "life" (or ensoulment or whatever you want to call it) starts pretty much at conception and therefore I believe that to terminate a pregnancy at any stage of development is killing.

If you wanna play the awareness/consciousness card then consider that it is thought that, on average, awareness develops at around 13 weeks. In most countries you can get an abortion when the "baby" is waaaay older than 13 weeks.

Also, does not being conscious really justify the killing of a person? Are not people in comas also unconscious? It is not often suggested that a person in a coma is simply terminated.

OMG....Never, ever would I consider an abortion, unless it was truly a matter of life or death, and even then would I ever be able to make that awful decision.
