I know, right?
That's why I don't want to get pregnant before I'm 18.
Anyway, can you imagine how much money those teens are spending on parenting classes, when it could be used to boost our economy?!
Maybe most of them do it because they want to prove something i guess.
Like they can act older.
Some states if you get pregnant before your 18 the courts will let you divorce your parents without consent.
I once read that 5 (I think) girls made a pact to get pregnant before high school was over.
....One went as far as to sleep with a hobo.
That alone is sick...

Surely that does 'boost' our economy as well?
Anyway, I really struggle to understand why so many teenagers still get pregnant.
The life of a child should be taken seriously. I just cant imagine why anyone would do that. Other than wanting to have a baby and Being ABLE to take care of it. Not your parents and not inbetween classes.

Re: Teens trying to conceive
I think most of them do that to prove a point. Some states allow marriage before 18 without parent consent if the woman is pregnant (with the man's child I believe). Others want to prove that they can handle the responsibilities and don't need to rely on their parents.
When I was livinhg in Bedford (UK) there were a lot of girls there who got pregnant on purpose. I never understood why, but they seemed really happy, so who can argue with it?
they shouldnt be trying to conceive unless they are in a good steady relationship and have financial support.
But anyways when your younger then 18 why would you purposely want a baby?

Well personally I think if the person wants a child and can take care of it and is mature enough to handle the responsibility then I can't argue with the fact they want one on purpose.
