no your not alone. but your 16, you need to get your life set up, focus on studies because you cant have a child without supporting it so you would need money, theirfore needing a job.

Dude, I'm fifteen and I want kids more than anything!
So you are definitely NOT alone.
The thing that keeps me from not doing it right now is that I want a kid when I can give it stability, and an overall great home.
Just get your life together, and the babies will come soon.

snap!

me and my boyfriend have discussed it, but decided to wait until we're older and stuff. he's 20 and i'm 17.
he even said 'we won't try to have one, we'll just stop trying to not have one'
we did for a bit but nothing happened, and now we're gunna wait.

my friend is also very serious about having a baby at her age, but whether she'll actually try i dont know.

i think its best to leave it until you're older, finished college/uni whatever it is you want to do and have enough money and be in a stable relationship first.
:-)

Im not really the same To be honest, sometimes i want one, but then i realise that if i had one now it wouldnt really have a very stable life because i dont have a job or anything and no money, so im gonna wait so i can give it the best life i can later. If that makes sence

After having my niece around I really want a child myself. The way I keep my head on straight is remind myself that is would be selfish to bring a child into this world just because I want one when I don't have a stable home, stable job, enough funds, enough education, etc. to provide for the baby. Being a parent is probably the toughest job anyone will ever have because once you become one you're a parent for life. Your future son(s) and/or daughter(s) will benefit greatly if you wait.

Hang tight. When the day comes, it'll be one of the best days of your life. Definitly one worth waiting for.

Sarah

You not a alone, and from the other posts I think a lot of people feel the same way as you. Its interesting right, I know in my head that I can't support a child right now, that it would be hard/impossible for my boyfriend etc. But something in my heart wants me to have a kid.

Sometimes when I think about, I think we (humans) are meant to have kids when we are younger. look what happens the longer you wait the more problems you run into, with both your health and your childs. but like there has to be some line between waiting to long and being to young. Physical I can have a healthy child but it would be hard to support.

I think I'm going to try RIGHT after college or even towards the end assuming I have someone I want to spend my life with.

Your hormones currently may be to blame for your urge for motherhood. Know that pregnancy is a very mature decision to make: can you take care of a child at this point in time? Do you have a stable support system to help you along the way? Do you mentally/physically/emotionally know that you are ready for a child?

Every person is different, and it would be a sweeping generalization to claim that no one is ready at the age of 16 to be a mother. You need to know when the moment is right for you, and if you are prepared. Pregnancy lasts nine months—don't spend those nine months in regret!
