Default Is it worth it to take a pregnancy test?

I've been on two different types of birth control, tri-linyah, and now I am on mono-linyah. I was on the former for six months, and the latter for the last 4 1/2 months. I was have great results regulating my period on my current pill, although they were still heavy and lasted between 7-10 days. Because I'm on the pill and condoms are so expensive my boyfriend and I decided we're willing to risk it and go without, in addition to using the pull out method. I know, I know, that's not a great method to go by, but we're really hyper conscious about pulling out in time.

I totally trust my birthcontrol, because I've been using it correctly for months now, and I've never consciously let my boyfriend finish inside me. The only reason I suspect it may have failed is because of the unusual symptoms I've developed over the past three weeks.

I started getting serious migraines that won't respond to ibuprofen like they normally do about three weeks ago. I thought it could just be from my birth control, because I've read that birth control can cause migraines. I'm an avid runner and run cross country for my school; around this same time I started getting seriously lightheaded and dizzy from little things, and it's only gotten worse over the last three weeks. Then around that same time, three weeks ago, my breasts got seriously tender and sore. I assumed it was from my boyfriend because he can get carried away sometimes, but the soreness stayed for a good 2 weeks. It has finally settled down. Last week was my placebo week on my birth control, but unlike most weeks, it didn't start until late on day four. It also ended during day six. The thing that makes me suspicious is 1) how late it was, 2) how short it was (my periods usually last 7-10 days, even on the pill), and 3) the amount that I actually bled. Ordinarily I have a seriously heavy flow and have to change my tampon at least ten times a day; but this time I only had to change it once on Wednesday, twice on Thursday, and once in the morning on Friday. On The last day, Friday, it was actually only very light brownish, gooey stuff. (Gross and TMI, I know... I'm sorry...)

According to my symptoms, do you think it is worth it to take a pregnancy test? Or do you think I'm just psyching myself out?

So.. you think a child having to be raised by people who are still kids themselves, not even out of school, no place of their own or real serious commitment to each other is worth "the risk" of being too cheap to buy condoms, are you kidding me? Geez.

You.. Like I don't even know what to say. You think it's worth risking it and worth risking having a child when you're 1. not even realizing that you can get pregnant from precum so it doesn't really matter if he pulls out or not and 2. your asking on a teen chat forum. Oh my. gosh.

Lastly, Anything can effect periods. We don't know. there's no way of us knowing. Get a test.
And again, stop relying just on birth control. it can be faulty, it can be faulty cause of your mood, it can be faulty because of stress. it's not 100% just because you like the way it is more regular for you? Like that's not even a proper reasoning or assumption for it working super well.

But let me tell you, a child? far more expensive then a condom.

If you are EVER in doubt- ALWAYS take a test. It's the only way to get peace of mind- if you're stressing about it you may be causing your period to delay longer anyway.

Besides that, I agree with @DeepDistress , we're not professionals all we can give is our opinions- so this isn't really the best place to ask. Especially if someone else's life is in the balance. (In this case, your partners and possibly a fetus')

Yes, it is better to make a test to be calm.

I agree with most: taking a pregnancy test gives peace of mind.
