Forums

Forums are made up of categories, each one for a specific purpose. For example, our Teen Advice Forum is there for general advice for teenagers, our Relationships and Dating forum is for all relationships and dating related advice and questions.

Most of our forums are shown on our homepage and some are hidden within forums as a sub-forum or sub-category.

Within the forums you may view others threads and posts as well as create your own.

Threads

A thread is a discussion created by a user of teenforumz.com. They contain posts which are made by users replying in response to the original poster or another post within the thread made by another user.

Creating a thread

A thread can be created by clicking the New Thread button:



The New Thread button is shown within every forum at the top left.

You are able to enter a title for your thread an example could be, I have problem xyz. You are also able to enter your message which is the main content of your thread which you may ask any questions within or anything else you wish to post.

The buttons along the top of the "Editor" which allows you to create your new thread are simple to grasp allowing you to edit font colours, underline text, insert images, insert links. It functions like a basic text editor, similar to Microsoft Word.

You may enter tags in the tag box too, tags are keywords for your thread, for example if you thread is about help with homework, the word homework can be considered a tag to add.

Once you have your thread written up click Submit New Thread and it will be public allowing others to view and reply to it.

Replying to a thread

Replying to a thread is simple, when viewing a thread scroll to the bottom and you will see a small editor similar to the New Thread editor, enter your message and then click Post Quick Reply, if you wish to use the advanced editor click Go Advanced.

You may also use the Add New Reply button shown at the bottom left of each thread.
