Icon13 Piercing advice?

What a horrible start to the day.
I woke up and my nose piercing fell out, which I got pierced like 2 days ago. I pushed it back in and it hurt so much, i burnt my mouth on my tea and my dog tryed to attack the buliders next door.
So now I'm like freaking out because I don't want my nose to get infected, ew.
What can I do to make sure it doesnt get infected?
I'm cleaning it twice a day, and not touching it unless im cleaning it.

I've heard lavender oil works?

Thanks in advance!

xo

Georgia, cleaning it too much actually increases the chance for infection, as it washes away the bodies immune stuff that it gets to the wound.

If it's swollen, ice it. And put some anti bacterial ointment on it and leave it alone for a few days.

Infection=antibiotics=doctor, so keep an eye for increased pus, redness, swelling, or if you develop a fever.

Rinsing it with a saline solution helps too.
