hey up people, im a 16 year old guy, and like pretty much all of them, have pubes, i wanted to know both girls and guys opinions on whether it should be shave or whether you prefer it and why? I know everybody has different opinions and I wan to know yours and also, for guys/girls who have shaved, wierd question, but does it come back prickly..ish like on a guys face or kind of soft and curly like before, thanks (=
Oh, you'll get a lot of different opinions here! Personally, I never understood the fascination with shaving pubes, it makes you look 4 again. And in case you forgot, 4 wasn't so sexy the first time around...
With regard to them growing back, depending on how far along you are with facial hair, it may or may not be similar. What you can expect with pubes is that they'll grow in stubby, which will probably itch like the dickens, and then eventually get longer and more hair like..softer. They'll grow back as they were before, no change, shaving doesn't change thickness or density or curliness.
I think everyone should trim there pubes, I mean I do, but it doesn't mean I would cut off a relationship just because of a bush. (I cut the line at forest)

I would warn about shaving pubic hair for two reasons. Firstly, the idea of taking a razor blade to that area makes me cringe and it will be unbelievable itchy when it starts to grow back.
In answer to your second post, a small pair of scissors would work well so long as your careful but scissors can leave it looking messy. An electric trimmer is probably your best bet and will cost you about £15 I think. It will look a lot tidier, you will have greater control over the length and there's no risk of you cutting yourself where you least want to.

Reason: Grammer fail
Imo, men should never be completely shaven - like Sam said, there's something unnervingly reminiscent of childhood in pelvic baldness.
However, I fully support manscaping! That's to say, I don't find a mass of wiry pubic hair attractive, and suggest trimming the length with a small pair of nail scissors.

STOP. ARE YOU READING THE ABOVE POST?
If not, do it. I'm beginning to get the impression that 50% of TF is populated by literate parrots/sentient mirrors.
Shave if you want, most guys I know trim though.
But the ones I know that do shave, and it isn't many, say it would itch real bad the first few times but eventually started itching less and less.
Same can be said for a lot of girls too, itches at first then it itches less and less.
And no, it actually doesn't make you look like a 4 year old down there. It, both a vagina and a penis, change in size and other ways I cringe at when I think about it as you get older. So personal areas don't look the same as a now as a child even without hair.
