uh, yeah. this is kind of embarrassing, but I've recently noticed that I have a lot of lumps in my left testicle (my other one is fine), however, there's no pain at all. I google'd around a little and I read that this may be testicle cancer (which I hope it isn't), but I also read that another cause could be a loop of bowel from a hernia. I had a hernia back when I was 3 or 4 years old, but I never really noticed the lumps 'til a few months ago.
can I get some professional answers as to what these lumps are?
It's doubtful it's cancer. It's always a good idea to check for it, though, as scary as that sounds...and what you want to look for are lumps and bumps on the surface of the testicle that weren't there before...change is more important that what you're actually feeling if you've been doing this all along.
If you rub each testicle slowly btw'n two fingers, it should be smooth and even, EXCEPT on one side and the top, where you should feel the cord that connects it to your body. Maybe that's what you're feeling? There's a definite 'lump' or 'bump' at the top of the testicle where it connects.
The hernia would be undetectable now if it was fixed, that's when a loop of bowel/intestine is pushed thru to the scrotum. Also, the other condition that could account for a different feeling is a varicocele, which would feel like a bag of worms in the scrotum. I'm giving you too much info here, i know....
If you're still worried, tell your dad and let him address it with you.

yeah, it almost feels like a bunch of mashed up worms now that you mention it. are varicoceles something serious and unhealthy?
Ben, we can't do internet diagnosis, this is really more for you info and education.
If you're feeling something that you believe shouldn't be there, you should tell your folks and let them investigate and if need be, go to the doc. There are a lot of things it could be, and as long as it's not cancer (which again is doubtful), it's fixable.

Not on Teen Forumz you can't I'm afraid. None of us are medical professionals.
Also, I wouldn't advise trying to work out what you have by looking on the Internet. You'll probably just end up scaring yourself or convincing yourself you have something you don't.
If you're worried about it, I suggest you go and see a doctor.

Of course you can. A doctor should be professional enough.
Seriously. If you have anything growing around your testicles that you can't explain, you should see a doctor as soon as possible. Odds are it's nothing, but it could also be that time is against you in a nasty way.
