Any of you go the gym? If so what do you go to acheive? I go quite regular in the aim to get bigger and tone up at the same time. If anyone does the same as me what tehcniques do you use?
I run every day. I go to the gym and prolly do 5 upper body, 5 lower body and 5 core workouts every othrr day. I do it to be the best/fastest middle distance runner I can be.
chest, shoulders, triceps, abs day 1
back, biceps, and legs day 2
i would do monday day 1, tuesday day 2, wensday off, thursday day 1, friday day 2
my main goal was to bulk, and get strong. My profile pic is me last june. July i looked even better, then i quite due to having 3 jobs.
things to try are super sets, and drop sets
super sets are when you do one set of an exercise, then imediately do a set of an opposite exercise with no break. ie shoulder press, the squats, or bicep curls then tricep extensions
drop sets are when you lets say curl 35 for 8 reps, then immediately youd do 30, then 25, then 20 etc untill you can hardly do 10lbs. works great for larger muscle groups like quad's and triceps that are being stuborn
worked great went from 150lbs in september 2009, to 175 july 2010

I do something similar myself, I do 4 sets of 10 reps at the highest weight I can on every workout I do then I do 2 on a lower weight of as many reps I can do. It seems to be the best way to build muscle according to my trainer.

when i was hardcore mass building i was doing 5 sets of 8 or less reps using high weights close to my max. worked well enough
