Today I told my best friend that i was molested when I was younger. I feel so great right now. I have never told anyone and it feels really good to finally not have this secret inside me. I really needed to get this out and talk about it. Maybe I can finally get over it now. I just thought id share because I'm feeling really good about this.

My step brother sexually abused me 7 years ago now, and I'm just starting to be comfortable with talking about it. My best friend was also sexually abused as well, so we talk about our experiences together.

There's something "freeing" about getting something that has burdened you for so long off of your chest.

It's good that you are feeling great, and feel like you can move past what had happened. I wouldnt be able to pretend to know what it would be like. but i am glad you got it off your chest. the best thing to do is talk. nothing good comes from bottling it up inside
