-My grades in Chemistry are going really low and the material is extremely difficult for me to grasp
-My parents still treat my 14 YEAR OLD BROTHER like he is a 6 year old that needs to be protected from danger and they still spoil him like a little brat. They never listen to any advice I have to say about my brother (hes getting really fat and his grades are shit, he plays video games 4 hours every night and around 12 saturday and sunday each) even though the same advice has worked on myself and they know it (I lowered my gaming time by a lot and I got in good shape and my grades went up considerably). Whenever me and him get in a fight they instantly assume I started it (he almost always does, I can say this and there is no reason for me to lie to people across the world) and they will start yelling at me to stop. In fact today he punched me in the eye and I almost got a black eye. Wanna know how this started? He put ice down my shirt as a "joke" so I started chasing him then he put on his crying act and I stopped because I love my parents and don't want to stress them so he fucking punched me in the eye when I wasn't looking and almost gave me a black eye.
-Every since this crap with my brother I have pretty much been ignoring my parents not only because of how stressed I am but because of how they still treat him like a baby and make me a bad guy.
-I have to talk to the head football coach to be on the team next year but I can't find him and teachers keep sending me to different places, I need it by FRIDAY AND THEY ARE STILL DOING IT.
-I have to memorize a Julius Caesar speech completely by Friday and I keep mixing up a couple phrases
-I have 2 tests tomorrow in my hardest classes
I'm not going to kill myself or anything but I really am just out of it, plus with the stress I will sometimes daydream in class for like 10 minutes at a time, further lowering my grades.
Edit: Forgot to mention I have a terrible chemistry teacher who doesn't actually teach, most of what I learn is through the internet.

Re: I have never been this stressed out in my LIFE
that sucks dude .. U do have alot on ur plate .. Try prioritzing, like the football thing sounds easy so that would be lowest imo, and the family thing is way important but can wait, the speech and the test should be high up, good luck!
Re: I have never been this stressed out in my LIFE
Life always seems to do that do us huh?
Put us down, and then kick us.
I, too, am going through some pretty rough times.
Like cougar said, the best thing to do would to priortize. You could also try devoting a day, or an afternoon to yourself. I understand with such a hectic scedule, that may seem hard, but if you can even just get an afternoon in to yourself, your going to feel refreshed tons. Do something you enjoy (perhaps just not computer-related) Be lazy all day in bed, watch your favorite movies, take a relaxing bath and pamper yourself, anything that makes YOU happy and relaxed. And remember to stay positive! Everyone knows that there are rough patches in life, things will get better, it just takes time.
If you need anyone to talk to, you can always send me a message. I`d be glad to help =]
Re: I have never been this stressed out in my LIFE
Hi Mike,
Take a deep breath, you'll be fine.
You need to refocus your efforts and energy on your expectations and goals here. So, that means, quit trying to parent your brother (or help your parents do a better job). Take care of just yourself, and stay out of his way. He's six, that's really little..and you don't need to do much with, for, and certainly to, him. Being the older brother doesn't necessarily mean it's always your fault, but it does mean you have superior maturity and reasoning skills. Use them. Stay out of his way and go about your life.
Find out what other resources are available in school to help with chem. It is an inherently difficult course, you're surely not alone with your struggles..there must be some resources available. A study group, after class work, maybe with a diff teacher...even a tutor. Don't get frustrated, get help.
Do the same with the other things on that list there of yours, come p with a plan and stick to it...if you need to get something by Friday, either figure out the best way of doing that..or the person who can help you with that, like the head of the dept. or the principal. Use your understanding of the system to get what you need, don't just stress about it.
Re: I have never been this stressed out in my LIFE
Actually Spock hes 14 I just said they treat him like a spoiled 6 year old
Also, so far I'm feeling better and less stressed, got some things off my list now, only bad thing is I'm not feeling to well health wise (feels like a cold...pretty bad sore throat) and I have to present my Julius Caesar monologue speech tomorrow :(

Oh, I musta missed the 14 part. Sorry. Spence would be pleased I made a mistake...
However, the rest of my advice still holds. You expect too much from people, Mike. Be it him, or your folks or the teachers in school..maybe even yourself. Maybe of you could modify your expectations based on their actual abilities or performance you wouldn't make yourself so crazy?

Good point you make there, but its not just that he is ruining himself but it's also that he has no boundaries when it comes to self control and he is extremely immature, it's sad to think he's going to be in high school next year and he still begs my parents to buy him video games, not to mention he cries out of nowhere to get there attention.
