Well I feel really fat all the time and I won't wear any type of tighter shirts to school.. at all. I'm not really fat.. I've been slimming down as I get taller but still it makes me really self conscious. I'm about 5'10" and weight about 175. I have really big bones though and a big frame (it runs in my family) So i'm not overweight so to speak but I feel it. I've tried dieting and working out but I either get bored of it or to busy and make excuses. Any suggestions on getting over it and being comfortable with myself? Also one of the more embarrassing things is my chest.. I don't really have man boobs.. but like theres little ones there.. more than skinnier guys and it shows through my shirt sometimes. I see other kids at my school that are like my weight and they don't care.. they keep their heads high and don't care what people say to them.. me, im always trying to hid my body.. Thanks
Mmm, i Don't know. one thing that helps me though is look in the mirror a lot. i am overweight but i don't look as bad about my weight as i feel like i am. So just every morning before you leave, look at your full body in the mirror and see it doesn't look as bad as you feel.

Well for me, i actually am overweight, but the same applies But i have found that that helps a lot, so good luck (: and maybe just get a little looser shirts so you feel better there.

Smart people tend to be very observant, esp. about themselves. But, you have to be able to also judge the reasonableness of your self critique. 5'10'' and 175 isn't really overweight. It's big (in stature), esp, for a 14 year old..maybe that's what's got you bugged.
It takes time to get reacquainted with yourself during puberty due to all the changes, it takes time to accept all that's new. IDK if there's some magic way to do that, other than be aware that what you're self conscious about isn't all that odd..it's that it;s new. Newness takes time to adjust to. Try not to confuse the two.
Also, those man boobs...swelling and tenderness of the nipples.... are quite common and caused by (what else?) hormones. Breast tissue (in guys too) is really sensitive to the rush of hormones now, but with time they recede.
I'm 5'7'' and I'm around 155 pounds, and I feel fat constantly. Of course I actually am, though; I have a lot of fat all over me, which I'm trying to get rid of by exercising 30+ minutes a day. If you want to lose fat, you need to sweat, and work your heart; hard.
Like DeepDistress said, just look at yourself every morning. Take what you have and accept and love it...besides, you said you aren't fat. Be grateful you aren't like me!
Thanks Sam and Kate! And yeah about the man boobs, it's not really the actual boob itself thats big, but the swelling part. I guess since i'm bigger it's more noticeable. Haha puberty sucks but yeah it's more my self confiedence level that is the probably.. nobody says anything to me, I just constantly think they do.

You're very welcome, and yeah,the swelling just get some bigger shirts for days you don't feel good. Being a chick, with tom we definitely know bigger shirts around the stomach help you feel better
