Achieve something worthwhile. To do something I enjoy and hopefully find a career out of it. To be a good husband, father and friend. To be successful and enjoy life. To help others and hopefully have a positive impact on their lives. << Ideal philosophy.
Basically, I don't care what other people do so long as it doesn't effect me or anyone I care about. If you want advice, I'll give it but you don't have to follow it and it's your choice not to if you don't want to.
To have opinions, because everyone does, but to let the principle of what the best option is to stand above that.
To be an individual and to let others make their own decisions of their own free-will, even if they ask for advice - in the end it's still their choice. I believe in the pursuit of ones own happiness.
In order to do this you have to understand each individual as an individual though so you take it as it comes.
I have no goal, other than to pass along my wisdom to someone worthy one day. Also, I wish to deduce and think and to reason. Although if I were to have one goal it would be to teach morality and ethics to my children and to teach them what I learned the hard way. Although that might be a pipe dream in today's world where morality and ethics are considered uncool. However, since it is my will, then it is my right.
In a nutshell Individualism and Objectivism.

I've meant to read up on objectivism. I bougt atlas shrugged a while ago but my to read this is pretty backed up.
If it's anything at all I hear the Wiki on it is short, sweet, and fairly accurate.
I bought Atlas Shrugged too! I went to go see the movie for the first part and I liked it but I had to keep telling my parents what they were saying (alas, my Daddy forgot his hearing aids and my Mama is losing her hearing) so I did miss some of it.
So far I'm only like 13 pages or so into the book, about to where they introduce the main woman.
So far I enjoy it. But damn is that book heavy. >.>
But to be honest the movie The Fountainhead is what lead me to Objectivism at first. It's also based off an Ayn Rand book (which we also have). Esp. the courtroom scene. Best damn scene ever. =D
Anyway, if you're going to read it, I suggest getting started. It's a somewhat intimidating book due to it's size and it'll take you a while to read. Personally, my goal is to read it by it's parts (it's split in 3) so it'll coincide with the movie parts.
Sorry for going on, I just didn't think anyone else on here would have wanted to read an Ayn Rand book... or be into Objectivism for that matter.

I don't have one that's totally set, but I guess I would have to quote Natasha Bedingfield on this one:
"Today is where your book begins; the rest is still unwritten."
She wants to break free, like a runaway
Try to believe, gonna find a way
