Default Can anyone confirm these?

I've been reading a lot of tips on "Thinspiration" sites (I'm not going to become anorexic; don't worry) and I've pulled some tips that seem reliable, logical and helpful. The thing is, I do not want to try them completely if I don't know for sure if they're really going to help or not. Can anyone confirm if these work, or does anyone have any more information that might help me?

Quote:
Drink ice cold water. Your body will burn calories just getting the water to a normal temperature to digest.
Quote:
Take cold showers because your body will burn calories to heat you back up.
Quote:
Use smaller plates and utensils so it seems like you ate more.
Quote:
Sleep at least six hours a day. If you get less than six this can lower your metabolism by 15%
Quote:
Keep good posture, burns 10% more calories when you sit up straight.
Quote:
Never eat anything bigger than about a cup, your stomach will expand and then you'll get hungry more.
Quote:
Have 6 small meals a day. Take 2 apples, and split them so you can make 6 meals out of them. That way your body will be tricked into thinking it's eating more.
Quote:
Do not eat in front of the computer or TV. This distracts you from recognizing you're full.
Quote:
An occasional binge doesn't hurt, in fact it's quite beneficial if you have reached a plateau (stopped losing weight). Your body will think you have stopped starving yourself, and you will drop at least a pound overnight! Just don't binge too regularly!
Quote:
If you take a pure cold bath for 15-30 min and lower your body temp, your body burns around 200 cals for every degree it has to raise itself to reach a normal body temperture. This person tried it, a 30 min bath lowered their temp about 3-4 degrees.
Thank you for all of your help!

Thinking logically - they all sound to have some element of truth.

They seem logic, yes. I recommend getting 8 hours of sleep though.

I usually get...6-10 hours. But I think I'll try all of these, they seem helpful enough. Maybe I'll finally be thin . It'll be a long road, but...I need it. I need to be attractive and thin. I need to be like everyone else!

I know that the 6 small meals a day thing will help because it will keep your metabolism running, just as long as what you're eating is on the healthy side. I'm not really sure about anything else.

Don't just rely on these, start the gym or something, take up a balanced diet and used to getting the bus? Walk, Jog or Cycle and how about some swimming classes? Take up Yoga for your mind too.

I do exercise...it's hard when it's 115 degrees out to go and bike or run, the heat index has killed 22 people already. But I do exercise.

I don't care what I have to do to be thin. Really.

Yep, I'm quite sure that all of those will help. The most important is eating healthily though obviously, and exercising.

I am eating healthier. And exercising. I walked about an hour yesterday, uphill mostly. I think that was 300 calories I burned. Still, nothing seems to be helping me lose weight. I'd prefer lipo but I need to start losing weight now and trying hard before that.
