Default Sharing healthy tips?

I was looking for some healthy tips online (besides the ones I already made another thread for) and I was wondering if anyone had any tips in regards to being healthier.

Here are a few that I've come to find regarding food and habits:
  • Drink 1 glass of green tea a day.
  • Get at least 8 hours of sleep a day—this can raise your metabolism by 15%.
  • Always eat breakfast—it will help you curb your hunger during the remainder of the day.
  • Make sure to measure portion sizes for meals to avoid overeating. Ex: cooked pasta/rice should be about the size of a tennis ball, while a serving of fruits/vegetables should be the size of a baseball.
  • Trim the fat from meats and poultry, and broil or bake instead of frying.
  • Spices can be more beneficial to you than sauces or salt
  • Eating fruits and vegetables at every meal can help you eat fewer calories but keep you fuller.
  • Vary your exercise everyday to keep yourself motivated to continue.
  • Set easy-to-reach goals so to keep yourself motivated to pursue a diet/exercise plan.

My tips:

No drinking
No drugs
Drink 5+ glasses of water a day
Limit soda [1 can a day or less]
Showering daily
Join activities/clubs

I forgot the drink water before every meal one . I do drink at least one glass during every meal, it makes you feel more full so you eat less.

If this thread gets big enough, maybe it could be stickied? :0

Holistically speaking, health has 5 dimensions;
Physical
Emotional
Social
Intellectual
Spiritual

It's believed that no one really obtains optimal health in all 5 dimensions, however they all contribute to overall health and as long as you work towards them and constantly make improvements, you will be healthy.

Well i am 22 now. But when i was in teen age, i suffered from a lot of problems, like anxiety, frustration without any reason and over weight. The problem was that i dont have any outgoing activity and all the day i just play video games. So my advice to teen agers are that they should go outside and do something productive. Like jogging and exercise is very good activity. All you need is to find out some unique and awesome parks or places to hangout.
